Libby Bowyer trained as a Registered Nurse and then Midwife whilst working for many years within the NHS, both in the hospital and community setting. During this time she developed a special interest in normal birth and the social effects of a new baby on the family unit.
In recent years Libby has trained and specialized as a Health Visitor (University of Surrey). She has continued to develop a specialist interest in breastfeeding advice and support by qualifying as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Libby has also developed specialist interest in supporting parents to establish good sleep routines in babies and young children. Libby has studied with Lyndsey Hookway and completed the Holistic Sleep Coaching Course (ONC level 5).
As part of the process of helping parents to enjoy their babies and to learn settling techniques Libby has studied Developmental Baby Massage with Peter Walker at the International School of Developmental Baby Massage & Movement in London and is qualified to teach parents how to massage their babies.
Libby lives in West Sussex with her husband and they have two sons.
